The Three Graces

We had discussed the idea of doing a wall in architectural fragments, large pieces separated by space with organic textures. In this design I've taken the ancient remains of the three graces, symbolizing the perfection of women on one end of the mural and a carving of a flower, an ancient symbol of the perfection of nature on the other, linking them by a flowing abstract movement that winds like an old river, a symbol of time. The back grounds, above and beneath the carved elements are treated in rich deep colors.

The Bird and The Butterfly

The bird and butterfly represent a harmony in nature, two creatures with wings to fly. Beautiful but, one source of beauty to nourish the other, just as those who seek your spa, take beauty to gain beauty.

The sculptural element in this design are rendered in a granite finish so as to incorporate the grey tones that had been mentioned in contrast to the deeper colors. The painted aspects of this mural would be designed in the computer and printed in vinyl.

Stacked Stones

In this design, I've created the illusion of stacked stones, massive and ancient but, with a feminine twist of flowers and vines. The space created by the missing stones would be filled by a contrasting stone texture.

Arches and Spiral

In this design I've moved away from representation and filled the space with larger simpler forms to rely on a greater shadow play and fuller deeper colors. The sweeping shapes are not only intended to draw the eye to the piece its self but also to reflect the curving forms of the surrounding interior design.

Beaten Copper Twists and Turns.

Just as life is full of twists and turns, so to is this design. In a marked contrast to the other designs done mostly to mimic stone, this design is meant to emulate the dramatic effect of beaten copper or bronze, reflective, warm and welcoming.
